Do I need this service to sell on Pustakvani?
No, this service is optional. You can sell your book directly on Pustakvani without opting for Extended Online Distribution. This service is for those who want their book available across major online retailers as well.

Is ISBN required?
You do not need an ISBN to opt for distribution. However, if you want one, please arrange it before submitting your book for distribution. ISBN changes are not allowed after the book is distributed.
Eligibility
- Only paperback books are eligible (hardcover is not supported).
- Specially customized production options may not qualify.
- Basic quality check is done before approval. If there’s an issue, we will inform you or refund if not approved.
Pricing & Royalty
- Author Share: 55% of profit
- Pustakvani Share: 45% of profit
- You set the MRP (price) of the book.
- Profit = MRP – Partner Share – Production Cost
When sold via partner sites (like Amazon, Flipkart), minimum MRP will be higher due to retailer margins. But your book will have greater exposure.
Plans Available
- Standard: No upfront bulk printing, print on demand.
- Premium 200: 200 copies printed in advance, lower production cost.
- Premium 600: 600 copies printed in advance, even lower production cost.

The difference between the plans lies in the size of inventory maintained, which in turn affects the price, royalty of the books, and the cost to the author. In the Premium packages, we print 200 or 600 copies for you, which reduces production costs. This lets you either set a lower price and earn the same royalty or enjoy a higher royalty while maintaining the same price as in the Standard option. Details specific to each option are given below.
